U16s Southampton Trip February 2006: George Haggar, Jason Kelly and St Clement FC were forging an association with Southampton FC long before it recently became the norm. February 2006 saw the U16s set off for a memorable trip to this historic port. Staying at the 4 star Holiday Inn the trip included a well contested friendly against Chandlers Ford FC U16s, an intense coaching session with Southampton FC Community coaches, Championship match Southampton v Derby, a ten-pin bowling trip to the Southampton Megabowl, copious amounts of junk food and finishing off with a trip to the massive West Quay shopping mall. A rewarding and inspiring trip for these young men who have all continued to progress as footballers as well as individuals.
